Apothecary volunteer sessions: making medicines together for the local community and learning as we do it - please email us for info about how to join!
Upcoming session details below:
Wednesday 19th August: returning after a little summer break, we will bring to the table all the recently-harvested and dried herbs of the colourful warm season, and process them together to store or prepare for the Apothecary shop.
With the deeply calming, aromatic and dreamy healing plants of July and August from the gardens and wild lands we will imbibe the sun’s power and ease and the powerful plant compounds that result from these (what mindblowing chemistry between cosmic and earthly beings!) and blend a period tea to support the menstrual cycle, physically, emotionally, spiritually and deliciously.
Please note: from September we are charging for these sessions to cover our costs after our main funding source has ended. You can book via Eventbrite for sessions from Wednesday 2nd September. We will repeat the session each month so that more people can access it: e.g. in September it will be Elderberry medicine, same session on 2nd & 15th!

Fortnightly Wednesdays at the Hornbeam Centre in Walthamstow, north London (1st + 3rd of each month): making seasonal remedies with our herb harvests from the gardens, learning & knowledge-sharing across cultures, exchanging health and wellbeing stories, journeys, support and care, eating nourishing food together.
Join the morning session 11am-1pm - usually a mix of herb processing & medicine making, with practical learning, with our herbalists Rasheeqa, Odhran & Jayne, healthcare sharing circles, hanging out & chatting, reading and learning.
We share lunch together 1-2pm - we provide food like bread, hummus, home-cooked seasonal offerings (soup, stew, curry, salad), fruits - you are welcome to bring something to add to the table.
Apothecary shop open 2-4pm - a wide range of communally-grown, collectively-made remedies including dried herbs (dozens of different ones from gardens & local lands), topical balms/creams, infused oils, herbal vinegars, tinctures, syrups.
