Rasheeqa
Lover of the wild earth, practicing herbalist since 2012 after studying a herbal medicine degree in Glasgow and London, Rasheeqa had a vision early on in her practice of a ‘community apothecary’ where everyone could come to learn, share, make and access herbal healthcare. It’s been a blessed journey so far with so many connections and richnesses. She lives in Walthamstow in north-east London and is of Indian heritage with healing and education in the family lineage. She is active in the learning aspect of Community Apothecary, facilitating our sharing sessions at Hornbeam, and enjoying bringing people together around this ancient practice to explore better health together.
Odhran
Odhran (they/them) joined the Community Apothecary as a medicine making facilitator in 2025 upon finishing their herbal medicine studies, after having been part of community herbalism projects since 2021. Their practice involves the practical application of herbalism within local communities, how herbalism supports body and medical agency, researching herbal trans health, and the curiosity of seeing the herbs from non-human perspectives. Coming from an urban upbringing, Odhran is interested in the ways we can connect with nature in the city, and how this can contribute to re-enchanting our daily lives by involving all the senses, and by playing with the stories we have created with surrounding environments.
Jonny
Jayne
Jayne is a strong heart and hearthkeeper of life and our project: trained early on as a chef and patisserie maker (happy days for us) she continues to nourish us all and the land and gardens that she nurtures. She has been a lifelong grower of plants for food and medicine and beauty and more recently trained with Organiclea in horticulture before joining Community Apothecary as gardens facilitator, currently at Mulberry Close with Jonny on Thursdays as well as co-facilitating our Hornbeam Apothecary sessions with her skills in energy-rich medicine making and healing food preparation. A practical magic and a fine tuning with the spirit of earth guide our Jayne :)
